- What originally brought you to Reclaim?
I have been working out over half my life but some major injuries sidelined me for a while. James was my personal trainer at another facility before he branched out on his own and when I heard that he started Reclaim I decided to join and work on regaining my health and strength.
- How was life before Reclaim (elaborate on poor health, lack of confidence, pain, or other)?
Before I joined Reclaim I felt a little lost I guess you could say. Being in the gym was part of my life and I felt like I was missing out but I was very leary to start training again because I had lost a lot of strength and put on some unwanted weight, so my confidence in myself wasn’t the greatest. I was worried I would get hurt again so I was second guessing myself.
- How has life been since you have joined Reclaim? (speak on what you have accomplished and potentially no longer struggle with)?
Since joining Reclaim 9 years ago I lost 11% body fat and put on more lean mass in the first 9 months. Reclaim isn’t just about pushing heavy weights, it’s about your total health. I finally felt like myself again after joining. I just had a total knee replacement 6 months ago and they have helped me regain some strength again in my leg and modify my workouts to benefit me so I get the outcome I want and need.
- What is your favorite thing about Reclaim?
My favorite thing about Reclaim is the community. The members support each other in good times and bad. When I walked back in the doors after 4 months post surgery so many people approached me to ask how I was or to give me encouragement and tell me that I was doing great. My coaches sent me a message while I was recovering to see how I was doing. How many other facilities can you say would go that extra step?
- What would you say to someone who is considering joining Reclaim?
I would tell anyone who is thinking about joining Reclaim to stop second guessing themselves and take that first step and reach out to them. Reclaim’s coach’s will work with you and get you to where you want to be. Not everyone has the same goals, body type, genetics, etc so one game plan doesn’t fit all. They will work together to get your game plan for you.
